How is behind Casasol? Meet the team
Casasol is a tourist rental management company with more than 25 years of experience, and it was founded with headquarters in Calle Los Huertos in 1998 to offer a rental and maintenance management solution to foreigners with second homes, mostly acquaintances and friends.
Today the company is a leader in Nerja with a portfolio of 200 properties under management.
José Mateos -Director and owner-
José is the owner of the company, having initially joined as Director in 2011 before purchasing the company in 2014. Trained and qualified as a hotel manager in Germany, he now oversees and coordinates all commercial and technical processes and activities at Casasol. With a professional education acquired in Cologne, Germany, José is a fluent speaker of Spanish, German, and English, which allows him to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
His motto is: Positive people change the world, while negative people keep it the way it is.
Belén Godoy España -Executive Assistant-
Belen holds a Master's degree in Auditing and Business Management and is responsible for overseeing all administrative processes. Prior to joining our team, she gained extensive experience in the tourism and vacation industry. Belen is a resourceful, proactive, and reliable individual who provides a high level of professional administrative support to our Director. She is also speaks Spanish, English, French, and German, which allows her to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients.

Pathy Castillo -Administration-
Originally from Mexico and a long-time admirer of Nerja, brings her passion and administrative expertise to our team. With her extensive background in administration, she provides invaluable support to Belén, our Executive Assistant. Patricia's organizational skills and dedication enhance our executive operations, ensuring efficiency and harmony within our office environment.

Sandra Föhrenbach -Front Office Manager-
Sandra, a native of Germany, has been residing in and cherishing Nerja since 2002. She began her career in the hospitality industry straight out of school, working at 5-star hotels in both Germany and Spain. Sandra finds joy in assisting our guests and derives great satisfaction from seeing them return to Casasol time and time again. As the person responsible for all front desk duties, she ensures that our guests receive the highest level of service possible. Her fluency in German, Spanish, English, and French allows her to effectively communicate with a diverse group of guests.

Loli Mena -Front Office Receptionist-
Loli, originally from Jaen and now a long-time resident of Nerja, is a charismatic and dedicated member of our team. Her exceptional customer service skills and willingness to go above and beyond for our guests and owners have made her a popular figure within the community. Prior to joining our team in 2018, Loli gained years of valuable experience working at the Hotel Balcon de Europa. She takes great pleasure in finding the perfect accommodation for our guests and witnessing their enjoyment during their stay. With fluency in Spanish, English, and French, Loli is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of guests.

Ana Castro Cabrera -Front Office Receptionist-
Being a native of Nerja, Ana is fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows her to effectively communicate with visitors from diverse cultural backgrounds. She possesses extensive knowledge of the local attractions, restaurants, and leisure activities in Nerja. Ana's exceptional organizational abilities and keen attention to detail make her a standout receptionist, who can manage multiple tasks while delivering prompt and efficient service. Additionally, she holds a degree in Tourism from Esne World Granada, which provides her with comprehensive knowledge of the industry.

She holds a degree in tourist accommodation from the Tourism school in Barcelona, and is fluent in English and French, allowing her to effectively communicate with guests from diverse nationalities. Her educational background and linguistic expertise have equipped her with extensive knowledge to guide guests on local tourist destinations and lodging options. In her role as a receptionist, she demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and adeptness in multitasking, ensuring guests' requests are promptly and efficiently fulfilled.

Bringing a wealth of experience from the hospitality industry Zak is originally from the United Kingdom, Zak has honed his skills in the restaurant sector before joining us in December 2023. Raised in Nerja, he is culturally attuned to the nuances of both British and Spanish societies, offering our guests a warm and familiar welcome in both English and Spanish. His bilingual proficiency ensures seamless communication, catering to a wide array of guests' needs. Zak's adaptability and understanding of hospitality make him a valuable asset to our front office operations.
